Invitation to Join the Editorial Board of Biomolecular Mechanisms and Innovations (BMI)
About BMI
Biomolecular Mechanisms and Innovations (BMI) is a Gold Open Access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the frontiers of biomolecular sciences. We publish cutting-edge research on the structure, function, and interactions of biological macromolecules—including proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, and carbohydrates—from both natural and synthetic origins. Our mission is to illuminate the mechanistic basis of biological processes across diverse organisms and systems, fostering innovation in therapeutics, biotechnology, and molecular design.
Why Join the BMI Editorial Board?
As an Editorial Board Member (EBM), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the journal’s scientific direction and ensuring the publication of impactful, rigorous research. We seek globally recognized scholars and emerging leaders including but not limited to the following directions:
- Biomolecular Structure-Function Relationships
- Synthetic Biology and Engineered Biomolecules
- Mechanistic Studies of Macromolecular Interactions
- Omics-Driven Biomolecule Discovery
- Computational Modeling of Biological Macromolecules
- Biomolecule-Based Therapeutics and Diagnostics
Key Responsibilities of EBMs
- Manuscript Oversight
- Evaluate submissions for novelty, methodological rigor, and alignment with BMI’s scope.
- Recommend high-potential reviewers and make final editorial decisions.
- Strategic Contributions
- Propose special issues or thematic collections (e.g., “CRISPR-Protein Engineering Synergy” or “AI in Biomolecular Dynamics”).
- Identify emerging trends and underrepresented topics (e.g., biomolecular condensates, glycoengineering).
- Advocacy and Outreach
- Promote BMI at conferences and within professional networks.
- Invite breakthrough studies from your field (e.g., cryo-EM structural insights, directed evolution workflows).
Benefits of Serving as an EBM
- Academic Influence: Guide the dissemination of transformative research in a rapidly evolving field.
- Networking: Collaborate with global experts and early-career researchers through BMI initiatives.
- Recognition: Your name and affiliation will be prominently displayed on the journal website and annual reports.
How to Apply
Submit the following materials to bmi@sciltp.com by June 30, 2025:
- A brief CV highlighting your expertise in biomolecular sciences.
- A 200-word statement outlining your vision forBMI (e.g., addressing gaps in mechanistic studies or interdisciplinary integration).
